Un giorno Mr. Playwood sentì un suono insolito e si avvicinò a suo nonno per avere la fonte del suono spiegato. Suo nonno aveva un grande senso dell’umorismo e così disse: “Hai sentito qualcosa, Playwood? … Oh, beh, questi sono fantasmi. Stanno giocando a nascondino con te…”. Questo ha davvero divertito il piccolo Playwood e lo ha rallegrato. Successivamente, suo nonno gli raccontava spesso storie di fantasmi.
Ultimamente, Mr. Playwood sentiva un vivo desiderio per suo nonno e le storie che ha raccontato. Spesso è andato a fare una passeggiata intorno all’albero. Per giocare a nascondino con i fantasmi che gli ricordavano il nonno, Mr. Playwood disegnò il Chatterbox.

One day Mr. Playwood heard an unusual sound and approached his grandfather to have the source of the sound explained. His grandfather had a great sense of humor and thus he said: “You’ve heard something, Playwood? …Oh, well, these are ghosts. They are playing hide-and-seek with you…”. This really amused little Playwood and cheered him up. Thereafter, his grandfather often told him stories about ghosts.
Lately, Mr. Playwood felt a keen longing for his grandfather and the stories he told. He often went for a walk around the Tree. In order to play hide-and-seek with the ghosts which reminded him of granddad, Mr. Playwood designed the Chatterbox.
